Whilst the primary use of the Quaker Meeting House in Penrith is for Quakers to meet together for worship and fellowship, we also welcome other organisations to our meeting rooms, and many voluntary, charitable and community groups currently make use of the building.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Meeting House.

There are two rooms available for hire and these may be booked separately or together.
The building is located on Meeting House Lane in Penrith and has a car park with 18 spaces. All rooms are on the ground floor and there is a wheelchair accessible toilet, a hearing loop and mobile wi-fi. We aim to provide a friendly, accessible and efficient service and a comfortable environment.
You can book the whole building, but the maximum number of people in the building must be limited to 85.
Kitchen - This has facilities to boil water and make hot and cold drinks but is not suitable for food preparation. Crockery and cutlery for up to 70 is provided. Shared use of the kitchen is included in the booking fee for either of the meeting rooms.
Toilets - We have one wheelchair accessible toilet and one further toilet.
Other facilities - We have 4 folding tables seating 6 to 8 and 5 tables seating 4. There is also a flip chart stand available and a screen but you will need to bring your own projector.
This is a large meeting room with cushioned chairs and benches. It seats up to 70 but is equally suitable for smaller groups. It has a hearing loop and mobile wi-fi facilities. Booking of this room also includes the use of the adjacent library which can seat up to around 20.
This holds up to 15 people and is suitable for small committee meetings or groups. The room has a pull-down projector screen.
Rooms may be booked for any length of time. Hirers should allow adequate time for setting up the room within the time booked.
Hirers may rearrange the furniture as required but we ask that you return it to its original layout at the end of the session.
Terms and conditions apply to all bookings and a copy of these must be read and signed by a representative of the group and returned to the Bookings Clerk. An initial booking from a new organisation may need the approval of our monthly business meeting.
